Day 1Mombasa - Taita Hills
Your safari begins with an early morning departure from Mombasa, heading inland via the Mombasa-Nairobi Highway. The journey takes you through scenic landscapes, with views of rolling hills and the African savannah. Upon arrival at Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary, you will check in at your lodge and enjoy a delicious lunch while taking in the tranquil surroundings.

In the afternoon, you will set out on a thrilling game drive in the sanctuary. Taita Hills is home to a variety of wildlife, including elephants, lions, leopards, giraffes, and numerous antelope species. The sanctuary’s waterholes attract a high concentration of animals, providing excellent opportunities for game viewing. As the sun sets, you will return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay, with a chance to watch nocturnal wildlife from the lodge’s vantage points.

Day 2Salt Lick - Tsavo East
After an early breakfast, you will depart for Tsavo East National Park, one of Kenya’s largest and most iconic wildlife reserves. The journey includes an en-route game drive as you exit Taita Hills and enter Tsavo East through one of its main gates. Upon arrival, you will embark on an extended game drive, exploring the park’s vast plains and rugged terrain. Keep an eye out for Tsavo’s famous red-dust elephants, along with lions, cheetahs, buffaloes, and a diverse range of bird species.

Lunch will be served at your lodge or camp, where you will have time to relax before heading out for an afternoon game drive. You may visit the Aruba Dam, a popular watering hole that attracts large herds of wildlife, or explore the banks of the Galana River, home to hippos and crocodiles. As the day draws to a close, you will return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay, surrounded by the sounds of the African wilderness.

Day 3Tsavo - Mombasa
On your final day, you will start with an early morning game drive, making the most of your last chance to spot wildlife as the park comes to life. After the game drive, you will return to your lodge for breakfast before checking out.

As you exit the park, you will enjoy an en-route game drive, soaking in the final views of Tsavo East’s breathtaking landscapes. The return journey to Mombasa will take you along the scenic highway, with an optional stop for lunch along the way. Upon arrival in Mombasa, you will be dropped off at your hotel or preferred location, marking the end of your incredible Taita Hills & Tsavo East safari.
