Tour Programs

Day 1
ARRIVAL, WELCOME AND DRIVE TO MASAI MARA
Pick up from airport hotel or residence in Nairobi and drive to Masai mara reserve with brief stops along the rift valley to capture beautiful sceneries. You will arrive at Masai Mara in good time for lunch. After lunch you may relax till late afternoon time for our first game drive into Masai Mara. Return to the lodge or camp in the evening for dinner and overnight.
Day 2
Masai Mara Full Day
The next two days are spent game viewing in Kenya's finest wildlife park, the Masai Mara National Reserve. Our morning and afternoon game drives take us in search of Africa's Big Five and the plethora of other wildlife inhabiting this vast Kenyan game reserve. On clear days, the Masai Mara offers fantastic orange tinged sunsets well-worth capturing on camera. The Masai Mara Game Reserve is 1510km² of incredible wide-open landscapes and fertile riverine woodland following the looping meanders of the Mara and Talek rivers in Kenya. One glimpse is enough to explain its appeal; it is classical open savannah, with a mass of amazing wildlife. Wherever you go in the vast Masai Mara you will see an abundance of wildlife such as Masai giraffe, baboons, warthogs, bat eared foxes, grey jackals, spotted hyena, topis, impala, hartebeests, wildebeest. Elephants, buffaloes, zebras and hippos are also found in great numbers. It is also common to see lions either basking after a heavy meal or surveying the wild plains for their next meal. Cheetahs and leopards are harder to spot but reasonably common. The ultimate action here is, without doubt, the annual wildebeest exodus, the Great Migration, in July and August when millions of these grass eaters move north from the Serengeti in search of lusher grass before turning south again in October. Hot-air balloon trips are an entirely outstanding way of seeing the savannah plains teeming with wildlife. These Masai Mara balloon trips can be arranged at extra cost. In the evenings Return to your camp or lodge in time for a mouth-watering three-course dinner, followed by story sharing and stargazing around the fireplace. When you are ready, retire to your tent and be lulled to sleep by the sounds of the savannah.

Dinner
About our Complementary Dinner at Carnivore
If time allows on the last day we take you for a complementary dinner or lunch at Carnivore Restaurant in Nairobi. Dining at Carnivore Restaurant, is not for the light eater, but rather an indulgent “Nyama Choma”(roasted meat) dining venue where you sample an abundance of varied juicy meats roasted over a charcoal fire that are piled on your plate until your stomach is beyond full. When the meat has reached a perfect temperature, waiters carry the full skewers through the restaurant, and the aromas tempt your taste buds and stir your curiosity. Since 1980, Carnivore Restaurant has been satisfying the appetites of meat lovers and safari adventurers with a never-ending selection of ostrich, crocodile, venison depending on what is locally available, served alongside beef, lamb, pork and chicken. A variety of side dishes complete this gastronomical tour of African cuisine, such as salads, soups, vegetable dishes and authentic sauces. The experience is enhanced by the informal, relaxed setting while gulping a Carnivore Dawa cocktail to hydrate, refresh and sharpen your palate for every delicious morsel. Should you find that even one more nibble is simply unbearable, just lower the white flag in the middle of your table and your surrender is noted with a final edible bite of dessert served with coffee or tea. During this time take advantage and share with us your experience during the safari both good ones and bad ones so that we may improve our services. Thank you.
