Climbing to 5,199 meters, Mount Kenya is the second tallest mountain in Africa. The scenery surrounding this designated World Heritage Site is breath-taking. It is pristine wilderness with lakes, tarns, glaciers, dense forest, mineral springs and a selection of rare and endangered species of animals, high altitude adapted plains game and unique montane and alpine vegetation. Visitors can enjoy mountain climbing, camping and caving with the mountain’s rugged glacier-clad peaks providing the perfect backdrop.

Day 1
NAIROBI –OLD MOSES CAMP
Our Mountain guide will pick you up at your residence or at the airport and depart from Nairobi at 0600hrs by road and arriving  Nanyuki  before Midday we will have our last minute shopping and head out  to Sirimon Gate where we will have lunch. After a few formalities at the gate, the easy afternoon trek starts to help in acclimatization.  Dinner and overnight stay will be at the Old Moses (3300m) in the high altitude mountain cabins. We will have done appx 9kms in 5 hrs
Day 2
OLD MOSES- SHIPTON CAMP
After an early breakfast the hike starts at 0700Hrs Ascend the Sirimon Track to Likii North Valley, in this beautiful valley below the subsidiary peaks of Teleki and Sendeyo, two ancient parasitic vents of the main peaks (3990m). Climb out of the North Valley and into Mackinders Valley, one of the broadest valleys on the mountain with many giant groundsels. Our Mountain chefs will prepare lunch Enroute.  We camp at Shiptons Cabins of the Mackinder’s Valley, just below the main peaks of Batian and Nelion (4,300m). Dinner and overnight stay will be at shipton mountain huts.
Day 3
Shipton /Point Lenana/Mintos-Lake Ellis 8-10 hrs,
The normal approach is to start at 2 am in order to reach point Lenana taking about 4hr walk by sunrise at 6:30am. After photo  session  proceed to Mintos for breakfast,  and walk further 4hrs, way to lake Ellis for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4
Descend to Chogoria
Lake Ellis gives scenic views of Mugi, Ithanguni and the Giants Billiards Table,  the foreground scenery and flora is particularly beautiful. We will have a leisurely walk down to chogoria bandas in time of lunch. Later afternoon exploring walks at  the beautiful surroundings
Day 5
Drive to Nairobi
We will be at chogoria bandas for the transfer back to Nairobi.  Arriving Nairobi early afternoon.
