Finish off your 2017 in style and begin 2018 on the road, in one of Africa sweetest Island Wasini Island. Our 5 Days Camping Adventure trip/road trip seeks to take you off the normal routine trips as you visit Lake Chala, Lake Jipe, Tsavo West and finish with the majestic Wasini Island.
Lake Chala, also known as Dschalla, is a crater lake in a caldera on the borders of Kenya and Tanzania on the eastern edge of Mount Kilimanjaro, 8km north of Taveta and 55 km from the town of Moshi. Depending on the time of year, it ranges in color from deep blue to turquoise and green, it is surrounded by a 100 meters high crater rim. The lake is fed by groundwater flows, which come from Mount Kilimanjaro. Lake Jipe is an inter-territorial lake straddling the borders of Kenya and Tanzania. On the Kenyan side, it is located south of the village of Nghonji while on the Tanzanian side, it is situated within Mwanga District, in Kilimanjaro Region. The lake is fed mainly by the Lumi River, which descends from Mount Kilimanjaro, as well as streams from the North Pare Mountains, being on the leeward side. From the sight of fifty million gallons of crystal clear water gushing out of from the under parched lava rock that is the Mzima Springs to the Shetani lava flows, Tsavo West is a beautiful, rugged wilderness. The savannah ecosystem comprises of open grasslands, scrublands, and Acacia woodlands, belts of riverine vegetation and rocky ridges including the Poacher’s Lookout where visitors can see the teeming herds in the plains below. Tsavo West offers some of the most magnificent game viewing in the world and attractions include elephant, rhino, Hippos, lions, cheetah, leopards, Buffalos, diverse plant and bird species including the threatened corncrake and near threatened Basra Reed Warbler. Wasini Island – a great escape and getaway located in the heart of “real” Africa on the very edge of Kenya’s exciting Swahili coastal strip. Depart Nairobi for lake located at the south western tip of Tsavo West National Park surrounded by tall reeds plant and rich wildlife habitats that include Hippos, Elephants, birdlife, crocodiles, zebras and many more.
We will have a short stopover at both emali and Loitoktok for healthy breaks and later proceed to Lake Chala for an afternoon walk and possibly an afternoon swim.
Later on drive to Lake Jipe where will set up our tents later on enjoy the sunset, dinner and overnight stay.

6. Game drive.
We will have an early morning breakfast pack up and leave for Tsavo west national park through Maktau gate the park is well known as Land of Lava, Springs & Man-Eaters. We will spend the entire day in search of the great game and enjoying the best from the above attractions (Mzima springs, shetani lava flow, chyulu hills etc.)
We will have our picnic lunch at a designated point in Tsavo.
We will then head to our Campsite in the park preferably Kamboyo Campsite or similar for dinner and overnight stay.

After breakfast we will pack up our tents for a change of itinerary from wilderness to beach. We will drive to Mombasa where we will have a short stop-over in Mombasa and a have a short walk at Mama Ngina drive and leave for south coast Diani beach campsite. We will have our best moments camping at the beach and having fun with salt sea water.
Dinner and overnight stay at beach camp or similar.

On this day a lot of action will take place, we will have a full day cruising in the marine waters of Wasini and Kisite Mpunguti islands in search of the
Wasini Island is the richest Marine Park on the Kenyan Coast. In the early morning depart for the tranquil fishing village of Shimoni close to the Tanzanian border. The scenic route takes you through lush coconut and cashew nuts plantations and the colorful villages of the coastal people.
At Shimoni board a traditional dhow or a speedboat, which cruise and sail you through an enchanting seascape of Islands to the underwater splendors of the Kisite Marine Park.
We will then have a Swahili seafood at the Wasini Island and later jet back to the shores for a transfer to Diani.
OPTIONAL: You can have a site visit to the famous slave caves (SHIMONI CAVES AT OWN COST OF KSH100 CITIZEN) If time allows.
We will return back to Diani for dinner and overnight stay.

On this day we will break our camp have breakfast and depart for Nairobi.
We will have optional lunch en-route.
Arrive Nairobi late in the evening.
