The Highlights of our 18 Days Kenya Safari

Our 18 Days Kenya safari is a special private safari carefully designed for explorers who have adequate time and would love to adequately explore Kenya in depth. You visit 9 Parks before dropping to the oceans to experience the beach part of a Kenyan Vacation.

For the wild lovers this safari has a lot to offer. We will try our best to record all the big five (Elephant, Rhino Leopard, Buffalo and Lion), plus other common Africa wild animals found in the African jungle.

We shall provide transport via comfortable 4 by 4 safari minivan or 4 by 4 Toyota Land cruiser or Land rover vans for the luxury option. Remember this package pricing is based on luxury accommodation and can be downgraded to budget or mid-rage options if you so wish.

16 Kenya wild and beach safari

Day 00: Arrival at JKIA

Arrive at Jomo Kenyatta international Airport. You will be welcomed by our staff immediately you land and after normal airport procedures you will be transferred to a city hotel   booked on a bed and breakfast basis.

Day 1: Nairobi – Aberdares National Park

After breakfast you are transferred by road to Aberdares National Park. Drive via a scenic route with huge plantations of pineapple, coffee and tea to arrive in time for lunch at Aberdares country Club. Later be transferred to the Ark Lodge inside Aberdares National Park for Dinner and overnight.  Here you can watch over various animals from your balcony as they come to drink water from a nearby waterhole which is flood lit.

Day 2: Aberdares – Samburu

After breakfast exit Aberdares, drive north to Samburu National Reserve arriving in time for lunch in our lodge or camp. Relax till its late in the afternoon when the sun is not as hot for a game drive inside the beautiful Samburu. We will be on the lookout for the amazing reticulated giraffe, Grey's Zebra, Generuk Beisa Oryx and Somali Ostrich also referred as Samburu Special five. They are only found North of Equator. Return in the evening to the camp or lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Samburu Full Day

After breakfast you will have an opportunity to explore Samburu in the morning and afternoon game drives. Samburu National Reserve is one of the few destinations in Kenya that are literally unspoiled. For so long the park was inaccessible due to poor road network which makes it less affected by human activities. The Reserve is fed by River Uaso Nyiro which attracts lots of wild animals who come by the banks to drink water. Apart from the special five earlier mentioned we have elephants, cheetahs, leopards, hippos crocodiles and more.

Day 4: Samburu – Nanyuki

After breakfast leave Samburu for Ol Pejeta Conservancy in Nanyuki arriving in time for lunch at Serena Sweetwaters Camp. After lunch go out for a game drive at the conservancy. Visit Sweet waters Chimpanzee sanctuary. Kenya has no native chimpazees. These are rescued from all over the world and given a chance to live again here. Learn more about these beautiful animals before proceeding with game drive till late in the evening when we return to the camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Ol Pejeta  - Lake Nakuru

Early morning game drive for a chance to catch up with the big cats and to capture the AFrica sunrise from the park. If the weather is clear you get to capture the three peaks of Mt Kenya. Return to the hotel for breakfast then leave immediately for Lake Nakuru National Park. After lunch a late afternoon game drive before returning to lodge for dinner and overnight.

Lake Nakuru is located at the middle of this park. The park derives its name from this Lake. It is a protected UNESCO heritage and its known worldwide for its birdlife. When conditions are right the Lake attracts fuschia pink flamingoes in hundreds and other waterbirds. Apart from birdlife the park is home to black and white rhino and rothchild giraffes which are endangered. Its also has a healthy population of lions, cheetah, leopard, buffalo waterbuck, baboons hyenas and more Africa wildlife.

Day 6: Lake Nakuru – Masai Mara

After breakfast exit Lake Nakuru with a game drive en route. Arrive at our camp or lodge at Masai Mara. After lunch, go for a game drive in search of lions, cheetahs, buffalo and other wild which are abundant here.  Return to the camp at 6.00 PM for dinner and overnight.

 

Day 7: Masai Mara Full Day

After breakfast you spend the whole day exploring the Masai Mara. Masai Mara National Reserve is the most popular wildlife viewing destination in Kenya and perhaps in Africa. It gives excellent game viewing experience throughout the year. Its wildlife stuffed open grassland savanna is just a perfect environment for game drive. Also between July and October Masai Mara national Reserve becomes host to annual wildebeest migration. A natural occurrence that involves over 1.5 milion wildebeest and zebras migrating from Serengeti in Tanzania to Masai Mara in search of green pastures. Have parked lunch in the park before proceeding with the game drive till evening, time to return to camp or lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 8 Masai Mara

This morning, there is the opportunity to rise early and experience a game viewing adventure from an entirely different perspective! A hot air balloon safari across the Masai Mara (at additional cost) which takes off in the crisp morning air, and lasts for approximately an hour, allows for a beautifully peaceful experience floating silently high above plains, forests and rivers. Upon landing a fully cooked champagne breakfast awaits. More game viewing opportunities arise later that morning en-route back to camp and in the afternoon. In addition to the abundance of spectacular game, there are also over 450 species of birds that have been identified in the Masai Mara Ecosystem. Dinner and overnight at our camp or lodge.

Day 9: Masai mara – Lake Naivasha

Early breakfast then prepare to exit park with a game en route and drive to Naivasha. Arrive in time for lunch, You can then visit Hellsgate National Park. The only park you are allowed to walk or cycle, Climb rocks. The park is one of the most scenic of all we have visited previously.

Later return to the lodge for and relax as we await for the sun to set. You may choose to do an optional boatride at  Lake Naivasha a fresh water lake. Go on a mission of spotting Hippos and more.

Day 10: Naivasha – Ambososeli

After breakfast leave Naivasha for Amboseli NP. Arrive in time at the lodge for lunch. You can choose to relax in your room or by the pool and later go for a late afternoon game drive in search of elephants, lions and other wild animals here. We shall return in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Day 11: Amboseli Full Day

Today we explore Amboseli National Park in morning and afternoon game drives. In between game drives you may choose to visit the Masai Villages to learn about the Masai culture or by the outdoors pool or by your room. .Dinner and overnight at the lodge or camp.

Day 12: Amboseli Tsavo West

Leave Amboseli after breakfast for Tsavo West National Park with a game drive en route. Arrive in the camp in good time for lunch. After lunch continue exploring the scenic park. Tsavo West National park and Tsavo East National Parks were once a single park, but are now separated. Tsavo West National Park is situated west of its sister, Tsavo East National Park, and is approximately 188km west of Mombasa. This park is considered the best for topography fans who also want to view Kenya's animals and birds. Dinner and overnight at our camp or lodge

Day 13 Tsavo West – Tsavo East

After breakfast exit Tsavo West with a game drive en route to Tsavo East arriving at our lodge or camp in time for lunch. After lunch take on Tsavo East in search of lions, Elephants, Giraffes and much more. Tsavo East NP feels wild and undiscovered; its vast open spaces are mesmerizing. The huge, semi-arid wilderness is home to most safari animals, and although wildlife densities aren’t large, spotting animals is always possible here due to the lack of foliage. The park is a stronghold for elephants, and you’ll commonly find them with a reddish appearance from the distinctive red soil of the area.

Day 14 Tsavo East – Mombasa

Pre breakfast game drive at the park and return to the lodge for our last breakfast in a wilderness lodge. Later exit the park and leave for our next destination, Coast. We spend our next 4 Nights in the North Coast in Voyager Beach Resort or similar. We will arrive in good time for lunch, spend the rest of the day relaxing at by the pool or in the room. When its evening take a walk in the beautiful white sand beach and catch the Africa sunset by the beach. The coastline North of Mombasa is a world of enthralling history and natural beauty.

The coast is lined with pristine palm fringed beaches, and the calm inviting waters of the Indian Ocean. The beaches are broken by the wide mouth of Kilifi Creek, whose azure waters are a popular port of call on the international yachting circuit.

Day 15 – Day 17 Mombasa

Spend your days at Voyager Beach Resort, one of Kenya’s most popular and dynamic beach resort in Mombasa located strategically overlooking the Nyali white sand beaches. The ship themed resort offers spacious rooms both garden and sea view rooms and with balconies offering views to these gardens or the Indian Oacen. The resort has an outdoors pool which you are free to use. Enjoy and explore the liveliest location of Africa East Coast.

 

Optional activities can be arranged upon request at the Coast including a visit to Mombasa City and Mombasa Marine Park.

Day 18 Mombasa – Nairobi

After breakfast you will prepare to check out and be transferred to Mombasa International Airport to catch your flight to Nairobi to connect with your flight back home or upon landing you will be transferred to hotel.
